Following the success of its inaugural year, the 2nd Regional Diploma in Curriculum Design and Development will begin on August 15, 2011 in Montevideo, Uruguay. It promotes training and capacity development on curricular issues to contribute to the achievement of an equitable quality education, addressing issues of inclusive curriculum, assessment and schools. The Diploma is co-organized by the International Bureau of Education (UNESCO-IBE) with the support of the Catholic University of Uruguay (UCU) and UNESCO OREALC.
UNESCO Windhoek Office is organizing four workshops on the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Competency Framework for Teachers in Luanda, Angola from August 8-11, 2011. The workshops aim to assist Member States in developing and implementing effective ICT standards and policies in education. They will gather educational policy makers,teacher-educators, providers of professional learning and working teachers to learn and share experiences on the role of ICT in educational reform.
