Yesterday saw the launch of the Glasgow University Student Teacher Network.

The network is an independent society established and maintained by students – for students. The focus of the network is to provide a platform for collaboration across degree programmes, year groups and Higher Education institutions. There will be a focus on Career Long Professional Learning and the exchange of knowledge, skills and experience. The network will also contribute and tap into the existing and thriving education community on Twitter. You can follow them

An official press release will shortly appear on the University of Glasgow website, but in the meantime I will quote the Cabinet Secretary for Education and Lifelong Learning, who recognised the value of such a network by Tweeting our students. I’d like to wish you ‘Well done and good luck!’.
